TEM Self-Assessment
The following questions are intended to provide an indication of the current expense management arrangement. If the answer to most questions is No then expense management is likely to generate significant savings.
Do you have processes in place which, on every invoice received, check:
1. That all devices and services on the invoice are still required and haven’t been cancelled.
2. That all devices are cancelled when a member of staff leaves and ensures it is removed from the next invoice.
3. That that the subscription/rental cost for each service is as per the contract.
4. That every call and data packet is charged at the rate detailed in the contract.
5. That each device has the most appropriate tariff.
6. That all tariff bundles are correct and are still required.
7. That any data usage which is not on a data tariff is identified.
8. That all expensive call types (such as premium rate calls, directory calls etc.) are reviewed and that staff are educated not to use these expensive call types (if appropriate).
9. That any roaming costs are for business and ensure the correct roaming tariff has been applied.
10. That alternative technical, commercial and operational solutions are considered for very expensive users. tariffs should be benchmarked routinely.
